Loop Tower
An incremental tower defense game where enemies try to make their way around a loop.
Each time they complete a loop you lose a health. Can you last 5 minutes?
Place towers to destroy them.
The loop is just a carved out path in the underworld. Excavate more, place walls, and make the bad guys travel further!

1. If you click to end the run after surviving 5 mins you will only get 50 points, but if you continue, you will also get the points you earned.
2. Also "full-screen" isn't really full-screen... I have 1920x1080...
3. Funny
bugpotential hidden achievement. If you zoom out too far away, you will actually start to zoom in, but the screen is mirrored xDGames with this type of upgrade system are kinda annoying nowadays, but with tower defense and digging, I'm enjoying it.
That custom wall placing reminds me of Warcraft custom TD maps, the only difference, is that you have only 1 target/route for the mobs , but in Warcraft there were few like A, then B, then C... More individual customization of the perfect solution.
But the problem is now, having digged all the map making 1 long route (and, of course, placing towers as far away as possible for the damage) it started to lag a lot, because of the amount of mobs on the map.
Quite fun, quickly learned how to maximize mining for gold while extending the loop, though I LEGIT cannot figure out how to move the map. That would have been really nice if I could do that, but nothing I tried worked. If moving the map is intended, including instructions on how to do so would be great. :D
Fun little game, saw it from Idle Cub on Youtube.
I genuinely believe it has potential to be turned into a fleshed out indie game because the different concepts like digging and tower defense had been beautifully integrated.
Extra features, perhaps random rare ore used for other types of towers.
Thanks for the feedback. It does seem like there might be interest. Just working on how to flesh it out.
Some thoughts about making the digging a bit more interesting:
1. Add different types of rocks. As you move further away from the center they get harder.
2. Should the player be able to see the entire grid, or just a number of squares away from where they have already dug?
A fun little game!
Unfortunately, full screen on windows chrome doesn't actually rescale the application. My eyes are straining a little bit to actually see it. It's playable, but a bit rough.
Unfortunately while it does run on Android, I have neither right click nor shift, can you add mobile input mappings? Like long press or extra buttons.
I'll take a look at doing that - will reply again if I get it working.
Thanks Yarrichar. I really enjoyed playing it.
This game as a lot of potential... The base concepts for this game are great and it already has the 'just one more run' vibe to it.
I can see some tweaks to keep improving it further. (Fire tiles, Gold mine tiles that produce passive income, different Mobs, Statistics for towers etc to see progress).
I was actually looking for this on steam when I saw idle cub playing it. I saw you aren't actively developing this as you are working on another game. Good luck with the new game.
Thanks for checking it out, and your kind words!
Those are good suggestions, but even with those I'm not sure it's enough for a full game? Maybe I'm overthinking it though.
I would say I'm not actively developing it *at the moment*. I'm going to keep tinkering away on it as I come up with things to add to it though.
Fun! But right-clicking on a tower gives 20 gold, allowing you to build infinite towers for free!
That's embarrassing! Thanks for taking the time to point that out, especially since it's before the end of the game jam! Just put a fix out.
No worries! Glad you could fix it before the deadline. And honestly it was kind of fun to make infinite towers haha!
Hey Yarrichar, really love the concept.
Playing it i felt I needed to see the How to before getting in to the game and having it as an option to view it again while in game. With that in mind I think, it would be a cool thing to stop the clock if viewing the how to instructions. I say this because it punishes you and ends the level before you can read it the first time around.
I would also like to be able to earn Gold easily somehow to place down more towers at the start, maybe rewarding me by destroying empty wall blocks or something like that :)
Overall, I loved the overall feel of the game, very moody and clearly has a purpose, simply gameplay making it easy to pick up. Just that hard to know what to do curse with instructions on the game play screen and being against a timer there :)
Thanks for letting me play and I hope your having fun dude!
Thanks for the feedback, and I agree with the onboarding. As a temporary fix I've added a pause button, so you actually have time to read the instructions - I'd like to properly improve the onboarding but there's not enough time.
There's an upgrade you can get which gives you more starting money which helps there. Having a chance of getting gold from destroying blocks is an interesting idea - I'll have a think about it.
